Each week, children will receive two pieces of homework, along with weekly spellings to practise. We also ask that children read at home at least four times a week, and this should be recorded in their reading diaries.
In addition, your child will be given a project-based homework task each half term. This is designed to encourage creativity, independent thinking, and pride in their work. Project homework should be brought back into school before the final week of the half term, ready to be celebrated and shared.
We really value the effort children put into their home learning and encourage them to take pride in what they produce.
PE days:
In Autumn 1, PE will continue to take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On these days, children should come to school dressed in their full PE kit. Please remember that, in line with our school uniform policy, no jewellery should be worn, including earrings, for health and safety reasons.
